Michael J. Doyle Scholarship

The Irish Society is pleased to announce our Annual Michael J Doyle Scholarship* Award Contest.  This year’s topic in memory of the 30th anniversary is “The Impact the Hunger Strikers had on Irish Peace Talks.” The contest is open to a child/grandchild or other eligible dependant of any member in good standing.  The winner will receive $1,000.00 per year for a 4 year program in a college or university, or $1,000.00 per year while enrolled in a 2 year voc/tech school.  One scholarship will be awarded per year.  An application and essay guidelines are available to download online.

The winner will receive their award at the Irish Society Annual Christmas Party on Thursday, December 8, 2011.  All applications must be received by November 1st, 2011.
